The most common postpartum problem in women is loosening of the bladder muscles. So that even a small amount of urine cannot be controlled for even a few seconds. The Kegel exercise was coined in 1948 by Dr. Arnold Kegel as an exercise designed to help women with postpartum urinary incontinence.

Kegel exercise is to tighten the bladder muscles. Try to stop urinating when you go to urinate. Doing so causes the bladder muscles to begin to contract. This causes the bladder muscles to contract and then release them. However this is just for understanding. Stopping urination is not a good practice.

Kegel exercise should be done as follows:

The bladder should be emptied before starting this exercise. That means going to the bathroom once and urinating.

◆ Then lie down on the floor and relax for a minute in the breath.

◆ Now place the hands on the floor and then bend the legs close to the knees and place the feet on the floor.

Gently lift the waist and press the toes firmly to the floor. This makes it possible to keep the waist up longer. Do so and count to ten numbers. Then relax the muscles and relax below the waist. Then the same process should be done again. Start doing this three times a day, 10 times a day.
