Eat one of these fruits without getting sunstroke in summer – our health

Watermelon is one of the fruits that is good for the body. The health benefits of watermelon range from brain function to the cells of your feet. Watermelon is very hydrating (92% water!) And naturally low in fat. There are benefits such as improving heart health, protecting your eyes and restoring your immunity. It is one of the first fruits that we should take in summer. This juicy watermelon is the perfect time to indulge as it offers a range of nutrients, vitamins and minerals.

-Cardiovascular & Bone Health

The lycopene in watermelon is very important for heart health and is now recognized as an important factor in promoting bone health. Watermelon intake has been linked to improved cardiovascular function. This is because it improves blood flow through vasodilation and is rich in potassium, which helps your body retain calcium, resulting in stronger bones and joints.

Reduces body fat

The essential amino acid citrulline in watermelon has been shown to reduce the accumulation of fat in our fat cells. Citrulline has the ability to inhibit the activity of TNAP (tissue-nonspecific alkaline phosphatase), which builds up in our fat cells and thus helps prevent the accumulation of excess body fat.

Anti-inflammatory & antioxidant support

Watermelon reduces inflammation and neutralizes free radicals. You can choose ripe watermelons as they are high in these beneficial compounds

Urinary & Kidney Support

Watermelon is a natural diuretic that helps increase urinary flow, but does not filter out the kidneys (unlike alcohol and caffeine). Watermelon helps the liver process ammonia (waste from protein digestion), which reduces the pressure on the kidneys while getting rid of excess fluid.

Muscle & Nerve Support

Watermelon is rich in potassium which is a great natural electrolyte and helps in regulating the activity of nerves and muscles in the body. Potassium determines the degree and frequency of contraction of our muscles and regulates nerve stimulation in our body.

Watermelons have the effect of forming alkaline in the body when fully ripe. Eating alkaline foods (fresh, ripe, fruits and vegetables) reduces the risk of disease and illness caused by a high acidic diet (meat, eggs and dairy).

Improves eye health

Watermelon is an excellent source of beta carotene (the great red color of watermelon, beta carotene) which is converted into vitamin E in the body. It helps to produce pigment in the retina of the eye and protects against age-related macular degeneration. Prevents night blindness. Vitamin A also maintains healthy skin, teeth, skeletal and soft tissues and mucous membranes.
